I am excited to announce our $11.25M Series A co-led by General Catalyst (Neeraj Arora and Rahul Garg, CFA) and Glade Brook Capital Partners LLC (Paul Hudson) with participation from our existing investor Bain Capital Ventures (Ajay Agarwal). In December 2023, when the idea for Pronto was first born in my mind, I became deeply obsessed.

Quick Follow-Up After Seed Extension

The latest investment comes just a few months after Pronto raised $2 million in a seed extension round from Bain Capital Ventures. The quick turnaround between funding rounds shows growing investor confidence in Pronto’s business model and its ability to scale rapidly.

10-Minute On-Demand Home Help

Founded with the vision of making home help services as quick and easy as ordering food online, Pronto runs a 10-minute on-demand platform where users can book house help instantly. The startup offers instant, scheduled, and recurring services ranging from sweeping, utensil washing, and laundry assistance to deep kitchen cleaning — all handled by trained and verified professionals.

Expansion to Mumbai and Bengaluru

With this new capital, Pronto plans an aggressive geographic expansion into Mumbai and Bengaluru over the next 12–18 months. These two cities, known for their fast-paced lifestyles and growing demand for household support, are expected to play a key role in Pronto’s growth strategy.

10,000 New Service Professionals to be Onboarded

Another major focus will be training and onboarding 10,000 additional service professionals. Pronto aims to upskill its workforce, ensuring quality service and reliability for customers. By building a larger, well-trained team, the company hopes to meet rising demand while creating steady employment opportunities for domestic workers.

Riding the Wave of Urban Demand

The timing of Pronto’s growth plans is notable. Urban households are increasingly looking for convenient, safe, and verified home help services, especially in the post-pandemic era where hygiene and trust have become top priorities. Pronto’s 10-minute response time and easy-to-use app have given it a competitive edge in a market traditionally dependent on informal, unorganised labor.

Technology, Speed, and Trust at the Core

As the company sets its sights on more cities and a bigger team, Pronto’s journey reflects a wider shift in India’s service economy — one where technology, speed, and trust are redefining how everyday tasks get done. With strong investor backing and a growing customer base, Pronto seems ready to sweep through the urban home services market at lightning speed.
