Home services platform Pronto has officially relocated its headquarters from Gurugram to Bengaluru, becoming the latest in a wave of consumer startups to join India’s tech capital for its unparalleled engineering talent pool and vibrant innovation ecosystem. The move, led by founder and CEO Anjali Sardana, is strategically aimed at scaling Pronto’s core technology, product, finance, and operations functions from Bengaluru’s HSR Layout, while customer support remains in Gurugram. Pronto’s workforce at its new HQ already numbers 40 and is set to grow rapidly as the company expands.
Funding and Expansion: $11 Million Series A Powers National Play
In August 2025, Pronto raised $11 million in Series A funding co-led by General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital, with continued backing from Bain Capital Ventures. The round valued the startup at $45 million post-money. The fresh capital, secured just months after a $2 million seed extension, will support aggressive expansion into Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and additional major metros.
Pronto’s growth roadmap includes:
- Setting up micro-hubs in residential clusters for sub-10-minute service fulfillment.
- Onboarding and training 10,000+ professionals to support rapid service scale.
- Investing in real-time operations, quality assurance, and advanced workforce training to strengthen reliability and user trust.
Currently, Pronto operates in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, with Hyderabad soon to launch, fulfilling instant home tasks ranging from cleaning and laundry to basic cooking, dog walking, and elder care.

Shifting Startup HQs: A Broader Bengaluru Trend
Pronto is not alone. Major peers—including rival Snabbit, Urban Company’s Insta Help, and a host of vertical commerce startups—have also moved their HQs from Mumbai, Gurugram, or Delhi to Bengaluru in 2025, driven by intense competition for engineering talent, easy access to VC networks, and the city’s status as India’s innovation hub.
- For instance, Snabbit, which competes in the speedy household help and micro job segment, recently shifted its base to Koramangala, echoing the same logic: “If you want to build a startup at hyperscale, Bengaluru is where the capital, talent, and ecosystem are,” founders told Moneycontrol.
Competitive Landscape and Business Model
Pronto’s competitors include:
- Urban Company’s Insta Help: The publicly listed home services unicorn with a mature multi-city footprint.
- Snabbit: Lightspeed-backed, known for their focus on gig jobs and quick urban convenience.
- Newer digital-first home services apps, racing to capture India’s next billion users in metros and Tier-1 cities.
Pronto differentiates itself with a task-based pricing model (vs. time-based), micro-hub enabled quick response, and an app-first approach for 10-minute service delivery, reflecting the push toward more efficient “vertical quick commerce” in daily life.
Outlook
As Pronto cements its Bengaluru base and leverages its Series A funding, it is poised for rapid geographical and vertical growth, with a sharp focus on user experience, tech development, and workforce quality. The momentum in HQ relocations underscores Bengaluru’s role as India’s definitive startup city—not just for tech, but as a platform for national scale and household impact in the evolving quick services market.
