Amazon India is doubling down on its quick commerce efforts, following its recent launch of 10-minute deliveries with a ₹2,000 crore investment. The new funds will help Amazon accelerate its quick commerce operations, expand its reach, and enhance customer service across India.

What Is Amazon Now?

Amazon Now is Amazon India’s latest offering, providing ultra-fast deliveries of daily essentials like groceries, beverages, and personal care items within 10 minutes. Currently available in select Bengaluru areas, the service has already garnered significant attention, catering to consumers seeking rapid delivery solutions.

Expansion and Infrastructure Development

The ₹2,000 crore investment will fuel Amazon Now’s expansion in Bengaluru, with plans to extend to other major cities. Amazon will also invest in fulfillment centers, logistics infrastructure, and technology enhancements to optimize delivery speeds and ensure a seamless customer experience.

Competing in the Quick Commerce Space

With competitors like Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart, Amazon’s push into quick commerce is a direct response to the growing demand for fast deliveries. The company’s significant investment reflects its commitment to capturing a larger share of this rapidly expanding market.

Future Plans

Amazon’s investment isn’t just about speed; it also focuses on improving overall customer experience by utilizing AI-driven solutions for better inventory management, faster deliveries, and personalized shopping experiences. This move aligns with Amazon’s long-term vision to dominate the Indian e-commerce landscape.
