Reliance Consumer Products (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, has unveiled plans to establish its first-ever food park in Brahmanapalli village, Orvakal, located in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district. The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Committee (SIPC) has allotted 120 acres of prime land for the Kurnool facility, prized for its excellent connectivity. It lies just three hours from Hyderabad by road and around five hours from Bengaluru airport, ensuring streamlined logistics for manufacturing and distribution.
Additional land (80 acres) has been allocated for a beverages manufacturing unit in the same region, further expanding RCPL’s footprint. Andhra Pradesh’s proactive support contrasts with Maharashtra, where RCPL recently signed an MoU to develop a similar complex in Nagpur.
Phased Manufacturing and Production Capacity
The food park will be developed in two phases:
- Phase 1: Will focus on manufacturing spices (23,000 tonnes per year), noodles and pasta (14,400 tonnes), and packaged snacks (3,800 tonnes).
- Phase 2: Will introduce production of confectionery items (32,900 tonnes), rice (36,500 tonnes), and atta (120,000 tonnes).
Combined, these operations are set to create approximately 500 direct jobs in manufacturing, warehousing, and ancillary services essential to the park’s functioning.

- Distribution Network: Finished goods will flow through Reliance’s extensive retail and distribution channels, including Reliance Fresh, Smart Bazaar, and Jiomart, enabling pan-India reach.
