Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor recently made her debut on LinkedIn with a heartfelt post sharing her exciting new chapter outside the film world—her journey as a co-founder of Palmonas, India’s pioneering demi-fine jewellery brand.
Stepping Out of Her Comfort Zone
Shraddha Kapoor candidly described how venturing beyond acting has been rewarding but intimidating. When she was first introduced by Pallavi Mohadikar and Dr. Amol Patwari to Palmonas, she had only recently heard about the concept of demi-fine jewellery—a category largely unknown in India at that time.
She recognized that Palmonas wasn’t entering an established market with ready customers but creating a completely new category from scratch, which was a big risk but one that deeply excited her.

She writes, “In hindsight, it looks like a no-brainer, but at the time it was a risk, not a guarantee. No safety nets. No playbook. Pure belief.”
Series A Fundraise Marks a Milestone
Palmonas recently closed its Series A funding round. Shraddha emphasizes she’s not much into numbers, but that the company’s revenues, valuations, and growth have been strong so far. Most importantly, she says the brand aims not to be the biggest or loudest but to improve every day and build trust with one new customer at a time.
Why Jewellery Is More Than Just an Accessory
For Shraddha and many Indian women, jewellery isn’t an optional add-on—it’s part of the outfit and a moment of personal connection. She often finds herself choosing clothes to complement a new piece of jewellery rather than the other way around.
Even in a digital era where shopping online is easy, she believes there’s still joy and value in visiting stores to see and try designs in person. With proven product-market fit and expanding options like lab-grown diamonds and 9kt gold, Palmonas plans to open 100 stores across India in the next 12 months to enhance customer experience.
Calling for Customer Support and Engagement
Shraddha invited her followers to suggest cities or markets where Palmonas stores would be a good fit, showing her eagerness to build a brand connected deeply with its users.
She also brought back a popular customer offer called the 1899 deal, assuring fans that benefits and savings will always belong to the customer, whether during festival seasons or funding milestones.
About Palmonas and Its Shark Tank Journey
Founded in 2022 by Pallavi Mohadikar and Dr. Amol Patwari, Palmonas is India’s first demi-fine jewellery brand focused on stylish, long-lasting, and affordable pieces. The brand rose to wider recognition after appearing on Shark Tank India Season 4, where the founders pitched for ₹1.26 crore in exchange for 1% equity.
Though the pitch sparked debate—particularly over the brand’s “lifetime warranty” policy—Palmonas secured investment from sharks Namita Thapar and Ritesh Agarwal. The experience helped shape the brand’s growth, visibility, and strategy in the competitive jewellery market.
Shraddha’s New Chapter: Bringing Entrepreneurship to the Spotlight
Shraddha Kapoor’s LinkedIn post and active participation in Palmonas reflects a growing trend of celebrities embracing entrepreneurship and sharing their business journeys publicly. Her down-to-earth and honest tone resonates with many, inspiring aspiring entrepreneurs to take calculated risks and build new categories.
As Shraddha humorously noted, she is still learning to navigate LinkedIn—calling it “app-xiety”—but she looks forward to thoughtful conversations and connections in this new space.
