Amazon will offer an at-home diagnostics service called Amazon Diagnostics.

E-commerce giant Amazon expands into the healthcare sector with the launch of Amazon Diagnostics, an at-home diagnostics service, which allows you to book lab tests, access your digital reports and schedule appointments directly from the main Amazon app.

Amazon launched this service in partnership with the emerging healthcare startup Orange Health Labs. Initially, this service is available in six cities: Gurgaon, Noida, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Hyderabad. This service offers access to over 800 diagnostic tests in more than 450 pin codes.

In a statement, Amazon said that the launch is an important step in the company’s vision of building a fully integrated healthcare experience for its customers in India. Additionally, it stated, “This expansion strengthens the foundation of Amazon Medical by building on the existing services of Pharmacy and Clinic.” 

Jayaramakrishnan Balasubramanian, Category Leader, Amazon Medical, said, “Amazon Diagnostics represents a significant step forward in making healthcare more accessible, reliable and convenient for all our customers.”

This development came shortly after Amazon india infuses Rs 2000 cr to boost quick commerce and core business operations, which was reported by startupro.
