Urban Company’s Direct Competitor ‘Snabbit’ Secures $19M.

Date:

Mumbai-based startup Snabbit, which offers rapid on-demand home services, has raised $19 million in a funding round led by Lightspeed, with participation from existing backers Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners.

This fresh round comes just four months after Snabbit’s $5.5 million Series A, making it the second Indian startup in 2025—after Slikk—to close two funding rounds in the same year. Notably, Lightspeed and Nexus are common investors in both ventures, signaling strong conviction in the hyperlocal service model.

What is Snabbit?
Founded in 2024 by Aayush Agarwal, former Chief of Staff at Zepto, Snabbit connects urban households with trained professionals for everyday chores like cleaning, dishwashing, and laundry. What sets Snabbit apart is its “within-15-minutes” arrival promise and hourly booking model, built for speed and convenience in busy urban environments.

Currently active in 10 micro-markets, Snabbit plans to expand into over 200 micro-markets in the next 9 months using this latest capital infusion. The company also aims to scale its team aggressively to support this fast-paced growth.

Rapid Professional Growth
Snabbit currently hosts over 600 service professionals, a number that doubles month-over-month, according to Agarwal. He emphasized that workers earn significantly more through Snabbit’s platform compared to traditional offline jobs, offering both dignity and better income.

Growing Competition in Home Services
While Urban Company has long been the unchallenged leader in India’s on-demand home services sector, new entrants like Snabbit and Pronto (which recently raised $2 million from Bain Capital) are stirring competition. This signals a renaissance in the home services category, fueled by tech-backed platforms and VC interest.
