Deeptech Startup Intangles Raises $30 Mn Series B, Plans Global Expansion

Date:

Intangles, a deeptech startup specializing in AI-powered fleet and automotive analytics, has raised $30 million (INR 266 crore) in its latest Series B funding round led by Avataar Venture Partners, with significant participation from existing investors Baring Private Equity Partners India and Cactus Partners. The company will deploy this new capital to accelerate its international expansion, broaden its product portfolio, and add to its talent pool.

Announcing the funding, cofounder and CEO Anup Patil highlighted that, “This investment strengthens our ability to expand that architecture across geographies and industries that are grappling with increasing volatility and complexity. The path forward is about scaling intelligence that is responsive by design, capable of navigating uncertainty without being limited by it, and mature enough to support strategic decisions that cannot wait for hindsight”.

This development was first reported by Entracker.

This marks a pivotal moment for Intangles as it looks to establish itself as a global leader in predictive AI for mobility and logistics ecosystems. The funding will specifically help Intangles drive its solutions deeper into overseas markets, while continuing to innovate in digital twin technology, predictive maintenance, and intelligent fleet management tools for automotive OEMs and large-scale fleet operators.

What Intangles Does

Founded in 2016 by Anup Patil, Neil Unadkat, Jayshri Patil, and Aman Singh, Intangles builds proprietary AI-powered predictive analytics solutions for fleet operators and automotive OEMs (original equipment manufacturers). Its technology combines IoT sensors, digital twin modeling, and deep learning to radically improve fleet health monitoring, predictive maintenance, driver behavior analysis, fuel and emissions tracking, and EV management.

Key offerings include:

  • Digital Twin Technology: Builds virtual replicas of physical vehicles and their components; this enables predictive “what-if” simulations of failures, performance trends, and maintenance needs in real time.
  • Predictive Health Monitoring: Alerts fleet owners about potential failures before they happen, reducing downtime and saving costs.
  • Driving Behavior Monitoring: Helps identify risky or inefficient driver habits, improving safety and fuel efficiency.
  • Fuel & DEF Monitoring: Tracks fuel and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) usage in real-time, helping detect leakages, theft, or inefficiencies.
  • EV Monitoring: Manages electric vehicle health, range prediction, and battery analytics—critical for fleets shifting to green mobility.
  • Automated Operations: Schedules maintenance and repair automatically to minimize downtime.
  • Location/Route Tracking: Uses advanced GPS data to optimize routes, utilization, and asset management.

The platform claims to support over 400,000 vehicles worldwide, working with enterprise fleets and major OEMs including Tata Motors, Volvo, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, and Honda. Their tool, Inroute, reportedly predicts failures a month in advance with up to 95% accuracy, delivering a per-truck ROI of up to 5x for its customers.

  • Series B (2025): Latest $30 million round, focused on scaling up globally and deepening its product capabilities, especially in Western geographies.

Financials and Performance

  • FY24 Revenue: Intangles reported ₹62.7 crore (~$7.5 million) in total revenue for FY24, with a net loss after tax of ₹35.8 crore, underlining the early-stage investment phase typical of high-growth deeptech ventures.
  • Operational Growth: The company has grown its employee base by over 33% and onboarded several large OEM customers, aiming for a 5x revenue increase (per prior statements).

Main Competitors

Intangles operates in the global vehicle analytics, fleet management, and digital twin technology space, with competitors including:

  • Uptake (US): Focuses on industrial and fleet predictive analytics.
  • Sibros (US): Specializes in embedded firmware/cloud platforms for connected vehicle data management.
  • Zeliot (India): Offers IoT and real-time analytics solutions for the automotive industry.
  • Samsara, Powerfleet, Motive: Leading IoT/fleet analytics vendors in global markets.

Intangles claims its full-stack, in-house approach—combining hardware, patented algorithms, and cloud analytics—sets it apart in both the Indian and international commercial mobility sectors.

Summary:
Intangles’ $30M Series B funding showcases the fast-evolving intersection of Indian AI and global automotive innovation. By leveraging advanced digital twin, AI, and IoT solutions, the company is helping fleet operators and OEMs unlock major gains in vehicle uptime, cost savings, and actionable real-time intelligence—while positioning itself among the next wave of scalable, export-ready Indian tech startups
