Interior Design Startup Flipspaces Raises Additional $9 Mn In Series C, Total Funding Reaches $50 Mn

Date:

Mumbai-based interior design and technology startup Flipspaces announced a significant $50 million expansion to its Series C round on September 8, 2025. This follows earlier capital raises totalling nearly $41 million in 2025, including $35 million from Iron Pillar and co-investors in May, plus approximately ₹50 crore ($5.9 million) from Asiana Fund in June.

The latest round attracted global growth funds like CE-Invests (UAE), Panthera Growth Partners (Singapore), and SMBC Asia Rising Fund (Japan), alongside existing backers Iron Pillar, Synergy Capital Partners, and Prashasta Seth. Early supporter Carpe Diem exited via this round.

Deepening Tech, Supply Chains, and Strategic Acquisitions

Flipspaces plans to strategically deploy this fresh capital to:

  • Expand operations across India, the US, and UAE markets
  • Strengthen supply chain integration for streamlined project execution
  • Upgrade proprietary technology stacks with a focus on AI-powered design and project management tools
  • Explore acquisitions to accelerate growth in related verticals.

Tech-Enabled Design: The Flipspaces Differentiator

Founded in 2015 by Kunal Sharma, Ankur Muchhal, Vikash Anand, Mrinal Sharma, Prafful Sahu, and Ritesh Ranjan, Flipspaces blends cutting-edge technology with interior design. Its platform spans space planning, VR walkthroughs, project monitoring, procurement, and furniture sourcing through its Vizstore marketplace—offering an end-to-end seamless client experience uncommon among traditional design firms.

Delivering at Scal

Serving over 1,000 completed projects covering more than 8 million sq ft, Flipspaces’ clientele includes marquee names such as Adani, Genpact, and L&T. Its global footprint extends to commercial interiors in the US market as well, including restaurants and cafés, highlighting its growing international presence.

Competitive Edge Amidst Growing Market

Positioned at the intersection of design and technology, Flipspaces competes against traditional design consultancies and tech-first rivals like Livspace and Space Matrix. Its AI and VR focus, supply chain control, and strong technology backbone provide a distinct competitive advantage as it pursues leadership in the commercial interior design space globally.

Flipspaces’ latest funding elevates it as a formidable player riding the wave of digital transformation in India’s $50 billion interior design industry. Tech-led innovation, strategic global growth, and a proven track record set the company apart as it scales new frontiers.
