OYO’s Parent PRISM Announces Major Leadership Restructuring To Drive Global Expansion

Date:

OYO’s parent company, formerly known as Oravel Stays, has officially rebranded to PRISM—a strategic transformation reflecting both its expanding global portfolio and its ambitions for the future. Announced in September 2025 ahead of its long-anticipated IPO, the rebranding to PRISM (“clarity, diversity, and the full spectrum of brands within the company’s ecosystem”) underscores a commitment to unify operations across hotels, vacation homes, extended-stays, workspaces, and celebration venues on a worldwide scale. The consumer-facing OYO name remains in place, but PRISM now serves as the corporate umbrella for a diversified, technology-led hospitality conglomerate.

OYO/PRISM’s Global Footprints and Brand Ecosystem

Since its founding in 2012, OYO/PRISM has scaled to serve over 100 million customers in more than 35 countries. Its portfolio covers:

  • Hotels: OYO, Townhouse, Sunday, Palette, and the recently acquired Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands in the US (from G6 Hospitality, part of a $525M acquisition).
  • Vacation Homes: Belvilla (Europe), DanCenter (Nordics/Germany), CheckMyGuest (France), MadeComfy (Australia), Sunday Hotels, and Studio Prestige.
  • Extended Stay and Premium: Studio 6 (US), luxury getaways, and experiential concepts.
  • Events and Workspaces: Innov8 coworking and Weddingz.in celebration venues.
  • Tech Solutions: Proprietary AI-driven partner management and data platforms to streamline operations and profitability for franchisees and property partners.

The Logic Behind Leadership Reshuffles

PRISM’s latest leadership overhaul is designed to drive deeper integration and growth across key markets:

  • Ankit Tandon: From CEO, OYO-Vacation Homes, now COO (global) and CEO, Europe, overseeing business across Belvilla, DanCenter, Sunday Hotels, G6 Hospitality (US), CheckMyGuest, MadeComfy, and now global performance for Europe and the Americas.
  • Varun Jain: COO for Asia (covering India and SEAME), with responsibilities for Traum Ferienwohnungen (Germany), Innov8 coworking, Weddingz.in, and support from seasoned executives Pankhuri Sakhuja and Nitin Gupta.
  • Shreerang Godbole: Continues as Chief Service Officer leading global customer experience and operations.
  • Shirish Damani: COO for Europe Homes & Hotels, responsible for supply, revenue/margins, and global M&A, supporting expansion into new premium and extended stay segments.
  • Departures: Gautam Swaroop, formerly leading international operations, exits for new ventures, but will continue to advise PRISM during the transition.

Future Ambitions

With the rebrand and these leadership realignments, PRISM aims to:

  • Accelerate US and European expansion, especially via Motel 6, Studio 6, Belvilla, DanCenter, and direct vacation rental markets.
  • Strengthen leadership in India and APAC through Innov8, Weddingz.in, and extended stays—while integrating AI-driven technology for efficiency and partner profitability.
  • Deepen premiumization and diversifying experience-based brands globally, including luxury, long-stay, and technology-powered hospitality.
  • Prepare operationally and structurally for an IPO, unifying its communication, operations, and market positioning across continents.
